Private Online Sociology Tutor

Hi, I have just graduated in Global Health at Queen Mary University. I am now starting a masters in Nutrition in Global Health. I love my degree because it allows me to combine my love for biology and sociology. I also combine elements of maths and chemistry which are some of my favourite topics. I think the love and passion I have for these subjects will help me teach in a fun and enjoyable way!

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored a range of different age groups, from 6 year olds to 65 olds which has helped me develop my communication skills and the ability to be adaptable. This highlighted to me that individuals do not all learn the same way. This led me to create individual tailored study plans. Over the pandemic, I had to adapt my lessons to younger students which proved moredifficult as they were less welcoming to the idea of studying online. I used fun activities to help make lessons more enjoyable.Teaching indidivuals from the ages of 12-18 is the age group I seem to flourish the most with as I am of a similar age and my expeiences are of similar time to them. Therefore I can relate well and this shows in my teaching. I also have found teaching elderly adults how to use programmes such as Microsoft Word on computers was a valuable experience in which I learnt different barriers faced in their process of learning.

Tutoring Approach

Having tutored a variety of ages I believe I have developed the necessary skills to tutor in different ways that are effective, regardless of the students learning style.
