Hi, I am a fully qualified maths teacher with 5 years experience of working in secondary schools across Norfolk. I have a 1st class mathematics degree and a postgraduate degree in mathematics education. I have over a decade of experience tutoring students to help them develop their confidence in the subject and achieve the grades they deserve. As of summer 2024 I have become a full time tutor working predominately online.

I was born in Norway and I've lived in Norwich since I was young. I enjoy playing board games and hiking.

Tutoring Experience

Most of my experience consists of supporting GCSE and A level students in preparation for examinations. I am very familiar with most exam boards [AQA, Edexcel, OCR] as well as the international examinations IGCSE & IAL. I have some experience with university entrance exams such as the TMUA.

I have experience working with a variety of students from locally (Jane Austen College, CNS, Thorpe, UTC) to top independent schools in London (e.g. Godolphin & Latymer, Tiffin Girls, Harrow). I am working with students internationally such as in Qatar/Dubai/China/Taiwan.

Tutoring Approach

I have quite a flexible approach to tutoring as I believe it is important to start with where the student is at and develop further. I believe it is important for students to experience using a skill in a variety of contexts to deepen and strengthen their understanding. I will often review work learnt in previous sessions to test retrieval and to strengthen students' memory. I am happy to prepare materials or willing to look at anything students want to bring to sessions. Exam practice and technique can play a big part of tutoring sessions especially for those with upcoming exams.

GCSE/FSMQ Sessions 1-1 £45 for 45 minutes.
A Level Maths Sessions 1-1 £60 for 1 hour.

GCSE Foundation & Higher Group Sessions £25 for 45 minutes. [Max of 4 in a group]

Students must have access to a reliable internet connection and tablet / graphics tablet / iPad with a pen to work on in lessons. Sessions are conducted on a video call in conjunction with bitpaper (collabrative online whiteboard).
