A doctor with a master's degree in gene therapy from UCL and a Biological Sciences degree for which I achieved first class with honours.I have over 8 years of experience in tuition. I have always enjoyed maths and science, and ensure that lessons are in relation to exam boards and the national curriculum. As I am balancing both university and work, currently I offer online tuition only.

Tutoring Experience

I have work experience from a primary school and nursery and have tutored children from ages 7-11. I have completed various different tasks with them, such as maths based tasks and helping them learn their phonics. I was also a class assistant at a local Kumon centre, so I have experience supporting children in maths and English, from ages three to eighteen. I have also mentored peers throughout school. I have experience teaching those from ages 2-35, and always work with the student to ensure the most suited learning experience is provided.

Tutoring Approach

I am patient and believe that everyone learns differently, and therefore spend time finding the right teaching methods for my students. I regularly assess the tutee to ensure that my methods are working on them, and will make sure that they fully understand the given topic before moving on. I am also patient, and can find various different ways of approaching a question or concept, to ensure the tutee builds confidence, and does not hesitate to work independently.
