I am an English and Media studies teacher who has come from a professional working background in the television/film industry.
Based in the East Kent area, I have 7 years experience teaching GCSE and A’ Level English Literature and Language and am looking to support students in the local area with their studies.

Tutoring Experience

In my 6th year of teaching at a comprehensive secondary school,
I have experience teaching across the following areas:
- English Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (A Level)
- Media studies GCSE, A’ Level and vocational courses (KS 4+5)

I hold a Film Degree and have 6 years working in the TV/Film industry (London).

Tutoring Approach

I like to target skill based tasks to improve students confidence in navigating their exam questions. Alongside this I like to focus on writing structures to allow students the opportunity to learn how to maximise marks in exam questions. When teaching content, I use targeted questioning to allow the student to come to their own conclusions. These approaches provide a greater success rate and enhances the retention of subject knowledge.
