I am a fully-qualified English teacher with a BA in English Literature from Lancaster University and an MA in Gothic Literature from Manchester Metropolitan University. I currently work at a well-respected school in the area and have done since I left university. During Lockdown, I honed my skills and attended a plethora of skills based courses to develop my teaching. I completed an MTPT course during my maternity leave too and I have recently been accepted as a Fellow of The Chartered College of Teaching, a great accolade for any teacher, alongside being accepted on another MA course to develop skills in educational leadership. I keep my knowledge current by investing in my studies which, in turn, is of great benefit to the pupil.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a classroom English teacher for eighteen years and have tutored 100s of pupils during that time. I get great results with pupils who commit to regular sessions. I have tutored pupils of all ages and abilities, with excellent results.

Tutoring Approach

I love delivering consistent, effective tuition to pupils at any level in their learning journey, and take great pride in seeing them complete their education successfully, knowing that I made a positive impact on their final result. The tuition is structured and supportive. I use a lot of model answers for pupils to aspire to, whilst giving them the steps or formula to achieve success for themselves.
