Tutoring Experience

PGCE and QTS teacher from England with 4 years experience delivering GCSE and A-Level Biology at Newcastle College. Managing a range of learners aged 14+ with varying abilities and needs.

PGDE holder with GTCS registration for Secondary School Education and Further Education in Scotland. I have recent experience working across the Moray area (Elgin Academy, Lossiemouth High, Forress) delivering BGE Sciences for S1-S3 and Nat4/5 Biology, Highers and Advanced Higher.

I hold a BSc(hons) Biology and Masters in Human Biology on top of the 2 teaching degrees across England and Scotland, so well rounded in teaching styles and curriculum, but I do find the content consistent. This has enabled me to obtain a range of resources and tactics to help groups of learners and 1:1 support to assist all learning styles and ASN needs.

Tutoring Approach

Using a mix of English and Scottish resources to assist learning and grasp understanding to achieve the 'light-blub' moment! Making the content relatable to the individual and using past paper SQA Qs to assist with exam practice and preparation - as knowing how to read the Qs is a task in itself.
