I am an ex-University Chemistry Lecturer with a PhD in Chemistry, based in the UK. I'm happy to teach all areas of Chemistry up to 1st year undergraduate Chemistry and only organic and inorganic chemistry in any years higher than this.

Tutoring Experience

I lectured final year undergraduate students, ran lab classes for 3rd year Chemistry and Natural Sciences students and was a 1st year University Organic Chemistry Tutor. My Masters and PhD in Chemistry is specifically in Inorganic Chemistry but I have lectured and taught Organic chemistry. I have teaching recognition from the Higher Education Academy where I am an Associate Fellow, I have also receiving Teaching Excellence recognition from the University I used to lecture at.

Tutoring Approach

For someone who has lectured at university, I am still fairly young (in my late twenties) but I think this is why my university students love me so much, I think it helps to be closer in age to the students I'm teaching so that it feels more like a friendship. I'm happy at tailoring sessions to students needs. Would much prefer students to tell me what topics/areas they want to go through before any sessions so I can prepare accordingly. I can only offer online teaching as I live between 2 countries so travel a lot! I am ethnically Pakistani but British Nationality, so English is my first and native language and all teaching is delivered in English.
