I am a bilingual English and Russian speaker, with a BA, MA, and very soon (spring this year) a PhD in Linguistics. I love teaching Russian and English as a foreign languages. It gives me so much joy to see my students grow in confidence when they use the language skills I'd taught them!
I've been tutoring students of different ages and with different requirements for over 10 years now. I always seem to be teaching someone something, even if I did not plan to do that - students just find me, and I love it! :))
My teaching approach is tailored to my students' needs: if someone needs to pass a formal test in a language, then we methodically follow the plan, and consistently prepare for the test; with casual learners, I let the students tell me what is of interest to them, and I cover the grammar and the lexicon within those topics.
