I have been a maths teacher for 15 years. In that time I have held many positions within the various schools I have worked for including Head of Maths and Head of special needs. I have been a maths tutor since I qualified as a teacher and find the one to one sessions enjoyable as I am abale to see rapid progress from my tutees. I have also been a Edexcel examiner/marker for about 15 years and have valuable insight, which I share with my students.

I prefer to follow a multi sensory teaching approach catered towards the needs of the pupils. I believe that once the core concept has been explained and understood it is vital to practise the skill aquired in order to fully embed it. This is where homework is key as it allows the learner to engage in independent practise.
