I am a Math teacher at a good school, with a degree in mathematics and over 5 years of teaching experience. I have helped over 100 satisfied clients and I am a friendly person with and outward going nature.
I am available only for the online sessions.
I enjoy my subject and helping pupils to achieve their true potential goal. I am an enthusiastic person with a love of the history of mathematics, an area that helps make sense of some of the most difficult areas (after all mathematics was invented for a reason). I enjoy cricket and Badminton (when I can).
In addition to teaching GCSE and Functional skills maths, I have also been teaching A-Level mathematics and further mathematics. As such I am fully versed in the current changes within GCSE with the 1 to 9 system. I have been a private tutor for over 3 years, tutoring GCSE and A level. All of the pupils I have tutored have succeeded in their examinations achieving higher grades than predicted by their schools.
I am fully conversant with the new 1-9 GCSE system and levels, plus the added responsibility of taking the new 3 paper.
My approach to tutoring is lead by giving pupils the confidence that every one can succeed at mathematics if they are given the correct tools to do so. (for example "what is nought point one divided by naught point nought two"?, this is the same as 10p divided by 2p??) I try and put the subject in the pupils "ball park" by giving alternate methods to help with a better understanding of the subject. I adopt a calm and meticulous approach to my tutoring giving the pupil confidence in their ability and helping them achieve their true potential. I use my own resources and ICT, together with past papers where required to enhance the learning experience. It has often been commented upon that I make things so easy.
