I am an experienced Head of History, Head of Year and More Able Co-Ordinator at an excellent school in Whitton.

I tutor A-Level, GCSE and KS3 History.
At GCSE level I specialise in the Edexcel exam board, with excellent knowledge on the following topics:

I have also taught Medicine Through Time.

At A-Level I tutor in Chinese History, and the British Empire too.

As well as tutoring, I can offer 'exam technique' sessions that go over Grade 9 or A* exam technique, example Grade 9 or A* essays and key hints and tips for the exam.

I also specialise in revision and memorisation techniques.

Tutoring Approach

As an experienced teacher, I am aware of how children learn as well as what motivates them to learn and what methods bring the best level of understanding and results.

My aim and approach within my tutoring is to help your child feel at ease with any gaps in their knowledge so that they can successfully bridge their home learning to their school learning in order for them to grow in confidence, no matter what subject or topic we are working on together.

Being knowledgeable regarding how children learn means I am able to spot tricky areas they are struggling with and identify the best method of moving forward to secure their knowledge.
