Mingke

Online Maths Tutor

Hi! I'm a fourth year maths student at Imperial. I have been passionate about maths from a young age, and this is something I hope to pass on to my tutees. Unlike many other subjects, it is crucially important to fully understand the key concepts in maths to have the adaptability to tackle different exam questions, especially the more difficult ones, which can come in many different styles. From my experience of taking GCSE and IB exams, I also believe that it is extremely important to practise a lot by doing questions, as this can not only consolidate your understanding, but also identify areas of weakness. Making mistakes is a part of the learning journey - only by making mistakes can we learn where we need to improve and focus our attention, so the same mistakes are not made in your exams.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring online since starting university in 2019, and now have a proven track record, with several students giving very positive reviews and having improved exam results which they have been extremely pleased with. I also mentored younger students at school and university to help them with concepts they were struggling to learn with teachers.

Tutoring Approach

In each lesson I will try to focus on a specific area of maths of your choice, explaining the fundamentals and clarifying points you may be unsure about. We can then work through some practise questions together, as it can be very helpful to see how to approach a particular problem.
