Born and raised in South Africa of Serbian heritage. My native language is English. Recent graduate of a 2-year master's degree in History at Oxford. Despite my degree nominally centring on modern European history, my interests in history are as wide and as varied as the globe itself.

Tutoring Experience

I have 2 years of experience formally tutoring my peers in my undergrad degree (as chosen by the department for part-time work) in the subjects of History, Anthropology of Religion, Academic Writing, and Sociology.

Tutoring Approach

I am flexible with regard to what your specific goals are. If you just want to learn because it interests you we will have fascinating discussions based on cutting edge scholarship that I can access for you, as well as providing a variety of media content. I highly enjoy seminars but am able to really hone in on your specific targets and tailor my lessons to your goals.

In those cases where exam/A-level prep is the main focus, I take a more organised approach. For each relevant case study will go over the key events and takeaways highlighted by your instructors. For the possible essay topics: we will analyse them from various perspectives to see which interpretation you find most convincing and why, and then we will refine your arguments with the relevant evidence from your textbooks. If we have enough time, I will read through your practice essays in my own time and during the lesson I will question you on your arguments and ideas before giving you feedback for improvement. I am fully equipped to help you achieve the grades you deserve, so don't be afraid to shoot for those (A)stars ;) I also aim to make the lessons as interesting as they can be as I always use a mix of image, video, and text-based materials to transport you into the world we are studying.
