I am a retired teacher with much experience both in schools and as a home tutor . I am a keen musician, birdwatcher, cook and cyclist. I have an outstanding record of exam success by my students in my career .

Tutoring Experience

I have over 30 years experience teaching in Secondary Schools in North London, Enfield and Haringey . 15 years of that was as a Head of Science and Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator with an emphasis on training young teachers and as a Gifted and Talented Co-ordinator

Tutoring Approach

I like to encourage curiosity in students and assist learning by allowing students to show first what they know and understand . The next steps are to set clear learning objectives and use a variety of teaching and learning approaches in order to meet them with clear assessment objectives along the way .
