I’m currently an assistant principal and SENDCo at a secondary school. I’ve always had a background in special education. I was a SENDCo at a primary school, Specialist teacher for a local authority and then the SEND Advisor for the local authority.
I have a passion for working with SEN but I also just love to teach.
I have experience in EYFS, key stage1/2/3.
I have teaching experience in a range of subjects, SATs and 11+.
I also have significant experience working with SEN and pupils with challenging behaviours.
My approach is tailored to the young person I’m working with. I will assess and decide what works best for them. This may be focused work on past papers, targeted support for specific gaps in learning, resources and training on how to develop independent learning skills or practical activities to engage reluctant learners.
