I am a semi-retired full-time teacher of French and now French private tutor and Pilates instructor..
Born and educated in Paris where I graduated from the Sorbonne University where I obtained a MAster's degree in Languages with Distinction, I settled in England 30 years ago. I have been teaching French ever since but regularly visit my family back in Paris, Antibes and Corsica.
I am married with one child who graduated in French and history at Oxford University.

Tutoring Experience

Teaching staff and managers at the small Language school of The Michelin Tyre Company Stoke-on Trent for two years.
Teaching French full-time throughout the range of age and ability at KS3, KS4 and KS5 for approximately 30 years.
Experience in writing Schemes of work for all Key Stages.
Teacher-examiner for French oral G.C.S.E. and A' Level for over 20 years.
In charge of teaching and administering A' Level French for over 10 years at my last school.
Well practised in guiding students through coursework and preparing them for every written exam.
Also well practised in successfully tutoring students online via Skype and Zoom

Tutoring Approach

Extremely dedicated and resourceful teacher of French with up-to-date experience of an extensive range of exam syllabuses and teaching methods. I have been a French classroom for most of my career but more recently I decided to dedicating myself to teaching Pilates and to one to one French tuition. This is when teaching a language is at its most effective and rewarding for both student and teacher. In a one to one situation one can accurately tailor the teaching to the learner's style, needs and interests which in my experience never fails to result in heightened motivation and exponential progress.
