The Head Tutor of Singing at Italia Conti, Michael is a significantly experienced singing teacher whose clients include West End performers, professional singers and singing teachers.

Tutoring Experience

I have significant experience working with professional singers as well as singing teachers and students at the highest levels of training. Alongside my own private teaching studio, I am also the Head Tutor of Singing at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. I trained at the Guildhall School where I received 1st Class BMus and MMus.

Tutoring Approach

I teach Musical Theatre alongside contemporary commercial styles including pop and rock. I also have extensive experience teaching classical and operatic singing.

My aim is to demystify singing and to give my students practical vocal skills. Using science informed pedagogy as well as my own experience as a performer, I structure lessons to help students make tangible improvements to their singing. Singing lessons are tailored to enable students to develop a secure vocal technique and also to develop as communicators and musicians with the ability to make independent choices as artists.
