I am currently a Mathematics BSc Undergraduate at King's College London. Prior to this I worked as a software developer in the city. I have always had a passion for mathematics and I am very much enjoying my time studying it at university as well as being able to teach what I know to others when the opportunity arises.

Tutoring Experience

I worked last academic year as a mathematics tutor at the Fulham Boys School where I taught groups of boys, GCSE mathematics. The boys were in different groups depending on whether they were taking the foundation or higher papers, so I was able to teach students of varying levels.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that the best way to learn mathematics is to solve problems yourself. Once a student has struggled with it and tried to find a solution on their own, the guidance a teacher can give to help nudge them towards the correct answer will have a much larger impact on the student's ability to retain the information and grow from the experience than if the answer were just given to them outright. Ultimately, mathematics isn’t about remembering formulae, it’s about learning to problem solve.
