I have taught full time in the Primary age range for all of my 23 year teaching career. I am currently teaching in Year 3 but have had many years teaching in all age ranges 7-11. I have spent the majority of my teaching career in Year 6 so I have a lot of experience in preparing children for SATs. I also have extensive experience in preparing children for their 11 plus exams. To ensure success I assess their individual needs and modify the lessons to work on their specific areas of need whether that be maths, verbal reasoning, reading or non verbal reasoning. I pride myself on making learning interesting, interactive and child-centred. I always take into account a child's preferred learning style and modify my teaching approach accordingly.

Tutoring Experience

I'm a full- time primary school teacher and have worked in Key stage two for the duration of my 23 years of teaching. I have a lot of experience and expertise in helping children to achieve to the best of their potential when preparing for KS2 SATs. I have had a lot of success in getting children up to the 'expected' or 'greater depth' standards in SPAG, Maths, Reading and Writing.
I have also prepared many children for the eleven plus exam.

Tutoring Approach

I pride myself on making learning interesting, interactive and child-centred. I always take into account a child's preferred learning style and modify my teaching approach accordingly. If the child feels comfortable and confident they they will inevitably be more open to learning and will progress faster and to a greater depth.
