I have had 39 years experience of teaching Science in schools, and been a home tutor for 36 of those years
Ex Head of Biology and Head of Science. GCSE and A Level examiner.
I teach all aspects of Science at Key Stage 3 and GCSE. I have taught many students with a broad range of special educational needs.
Very experienced teacher and tutor of Biology at A Level, successfully meeting the needs of all students, from those needing a rescue package, to those applying to Russell Group universities, medical and dental schools.
Tutoring Approach
Together, we will explain all those awkward bits, and join what look like random facts into a sensible story. I will guide and advise you based on decades of knowledge and experience.
Unsure how to improve your exam performance? I will help you develop straightforward exam techniques so that you understand what a question is asking you to do. Then you can tackle any exam with real confidence.
In our sessions, most of the talking should be yours: explaining something for yourself is a powerful and effective way to learn. I'm still surprised at how much laughter there is, too!
