I am a science graduate of a Russell group university at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and am a qualified science teacher. Science is incredibly important, both to understand the world around us and in order to access both further and higher education. I am passionate about science and thoroughly enjoy assisting my students in learning about it.
I have recent experience of teaching in both secondary and sixth form settings. I have taught all three sciences up to GCSE and have experience of teaching BTEC Applied Science at an 'Outstanding' sixth form. I have also tutored A-level Biology to small groups and one-to-one at another 'Outstanding' sixth form.
I adapt my teaching to the needs of students, this could include a focus on specific topic areas, exam technique or a mixture as needed. Where appropriate, I give relevant exam style questions as homework to consolidate and enhance learning.
I ask that we arrange the content of the lessons in advance to ensure the highest quality provision and to allow the tailoring of sessions to the needs of tutees.
