I am hugely passionate about the Social Sciences. Ever since I first studied them at A Level myself, I was hooked on learning about how and why we behave and what makes us tick. One of my favourite things about Psychology and Sociology is how relevant they are to us and that they're all around us - as a teacher I love linking current news events and real life applications to our studies to fully immerse my students in their understanding. I am an enthusiastic and dynamic tutor, and I focus on creating the most engaging content to not only make lessons enjoyable, but to ensure concepts and skills are remembered for those all important exams! I also believe exam preparation and technique doesn't have to Removed boring - I am creative in my approach to practising question styles and understanding assessment criteria, and as an examiner who has examined for AQA and Edexcel for 7 years, have a key insight into "the examiner" role when marking which enables me to guide and support my students in strategies to apply in their exams.
16 years' teaching experience in UK state schools and British & International schools across Spain. 5 years' online tutoring experience. 8 years' as an examiner for two leading examination boards.
My sessions are all student-led and very flexible to focus on what they needs at the time. I use a range of interactive platforms so students are engaged and involved, and so they are able to access any materials we use outside of our classes.
