I am a Qualified Teacher with QTS and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. I have a 2.1 Psychology Degree with honours and gained high level GCSE’s, including an A* in English. With over ten years experience tutoring and working within education, I have supported many students to excel and maximise their potential. I have tutored students both face to face and online with great success.

I have studied teaching pedagogy and theories, as well as behaviour for learning. Working with a range of young people and children from a variety of backgrounds has enabled me to understand the pressures from both education and society. Therefore, I ensure my lessons are relatable and engaging for each individual to ensure students thrive. I am punctual, reliable and easy to get along with. I have excellent communication skills and ensure that I do my very best by every student I tutor.

Tutoring Experience

I have been doing private tuition for over ten years. I tutor all primary subjects, mainly maths and English. I have supported children to pass the 11+ and Private School entrance exams. I tutor English Language and Literature GCSE, as well as exam preparation. I have tutored Psychology at GCSE and A-Level.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in making lessons fun and relatable to each individual to sustain engagement. This ensures that students can maximise their potential and progress. As well as working with students from a mainstream setting, I have supported a range of students with Special Educational Needs and I currently teach within a SEN provision.

Every student that I tutor has a progress plan that is tailored specifically to ensure that each student can gain maximum benefit from each lesson. I am happy to provide homework to build upon learning from lessons.
