I am a first year student at University of Bristol studying Economics(Bsc). I achieved A*A*A in A levels (maths, economics and chemistry) from the Henrietta Barnett School. I’m passionate about economics because I love understanding the forces that shape our world—from everyday decisions to global markets. My background in A-level Maths, Economics, and Chemistry gave me a strong foundation in analytical thinking, and I enjoy breaking down complex topics to make them more accessible. I’ve previously tutored students helping them build confidence, improve grades, and develop a solid understanding of key concepts. I tailor each session to the individual needs and learning styles of my students, ensuring that we tackle challenging areas together and build a strong foundation. My goal is to help my students gain the tools they need to feel confident and prepared, whether it’s for exams, assignments, or just deepening their understanding. In my lessons I will provide step by step explanations on how to approach a problem with lots of questions to practice and techniques to learn. I will teach you the best ways to revise and how to do well in your exams. I can tutor at all levels for any abilities.

Tutoring Experience

I have 3 years of tutoring experience privately and also through MyTutor on which I have completed 120 lessons. I have experience with a wide range of age groups tutoring children from primary school up till A level. I also have experience with a wide range of abilities, having tutored high achieveing students as well as SEN students needing more support.

Tutoring Approach

I will structure my lessons to be engaging, personalized, and goal-oriented. Each session will begin with a brief recap or warm-up to assess prior knowledge, followed by a clear explanation of key concepts using interactive discussions, real-world examples, and step-by-step problem-solving. My students will then apply their learning through guided practice, gradually increasing in difficulty to build confidence and increase fluency. I will walk them through examples checking their understanding along the way before getting them to try by themselves and assisting them if they have any questions. To help students achieve their goals, I will tailor lessons to their learning styles and encourage active participation by having them explain concepts back to me. Progress will be measured through regular assessments, such as quizzes, past paper questions, and ongoing feedback on homework. Additionally, I will encourage students to reflect on their learning and, where applicable, communicate progress with parents or guardians.
