Maxime

My name is Maxime and I am a friendly, passionate and dynamic Tutor with nine years of experience in the field of education. I am always eager to share knowledge, skills, and lead students to learn and think independently. As well as holding a PhD in Philosophy, I am a qualified linguist with native French and bilingual English proficiency. Through years of practice as a Language Tutor, I developed a passion for sharing my mother tongue, helping learners communicate and develop their ideas effectively.

Tutoring Experience

I am a part-time Philosophy Lecturer and French Tutor at Manchester Metropolitan University, The University of Salford, and a Language Assistant at Salford City College. I have also worked as a French Tutor for the University of Central Lancashire, and have taught privately for the last five years.

Tutoring Approach

I do my best to encourage learners to gain confidence and independence when learning. I endeavour to help them lift any barriers which might hold their progress back by encouraging self-initiative. My goal is to foster an appetite for learning and equip learners to carry on progressing outside lessons.

I have more than two years of experience in online teaching, and I am available to teach through various platforms (Skype, Zoom, Microsoft Teams) according to your preference. I use a variety of interactive teaching tools to foster active learning (interactive whiteboard, collaboration tools, interactive activities and games). I will prepare teaching resources and specific tasks and/or homework for each lesson and will tailor the teaching plan according to your progress.
