I am a passionate, fully qualified Maths teacher who currently teaches at University College School in Hampstead. I previously carried out my PGCE at Alleyn's School. I have a doctorate in Engineering from UCL, and previously studied Chemical Engineering to Masters level so have an excellent grounding in the applications of Maths post school.
I currently teach from KS3 to A-level Further Maths, so am happy to tutor any level within that range including entrance and 11+/13+ examinations.

I have had experience supporting students who may be finding the subject challenging through to students looking to really push on, and adjust my tuition to suit their needs.

I work in the Hampstead area but live in South London so am able to cover a large part of London (Travel charge will apply for face to face). I offer a free consultation before our first session to properly understand the needs of my student and help them decide if I am the right fit for them. Currently (May 2022) I have a few spaces available on evenings and at the weekend.

Tutoring Approach

A good relationship is the key for the learning experience of the student. I am calm, patient and approachable, ensuring the students are comfortable and confident in the sessions. I use shared whiteboards to ease communication and allow sessions to run just as they would in person. This, combined with planned examples and guided questioning means we can effectively work together and keep developing knowledge. I have range of different teaching methods and styles, which I will tailor to the student, developing their confidence and learning, to achieve their desired targets.
