I am a very creative and motivated person. In my spare time I enjoy creative writing (poetry/short stories), hiking and travelling the world. I have lived in and travelled to many interesting and exotic places across the globe (mostly in Asia), and enjoy engaging myself in a wide range of poetry and literature. I am currently taking a short-break from teaching in the classroom to focus on my own writing projects, and am once again, working as a tutor.

I majored in English Language and Linguistics at the University of Essex and specialised in teaching English (Secondary) for my PGCE at Kingston University.

In my previous role, I also coordinated an extra-curricular creative writing club, of which, some students have had their work published and have excelled competitively.

I am currently based in Brighton and Hove.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced teacher of English; both as a TEFL Instructor and as a secondary English Teacher - specialising in the British Curriculum. I have since gone on to become Head of KS3 English. I have taught the following:
English as a Foreign Language (South Korea, Vietnam, India, UK) - 4 Years
Key Stage 3/4/5 English - 2/3 Years
KS4 Media Studies - 1 Year

I have taught a wide range of students, from kindergarten to adult, and adapt my approach to best support the needs of the individual students I teach. Though I do believe in a creative, discussion based approach - I plan and teach in a methodical way to ensure students are aware of the expectations of them when it comes to their exams, especially GCSEs. For the past two years, I have a very high GCSE student success rate.
