Anna Marlene

My name is Marlene, I was born and raised in Germany. I have extensive experience in teaching (and learning) foreign languages. I have been teaching German for over 12 years now. I have a Master's degree in Trans-cultural studies and, in addition, I completed a 'Diploma' in teaching German.

Tutoring Experience

During my studies, I have worked in the Foreign Language Center of the University of Bremen and the Carl Duisburg Centrum (a school that teaches German as a foreign language) and assisted students of all backgrounds and ages in their learning process. Since then, I have taught and am still teaching German privately and in schools and language institutions.

I have a variety of experiences when it comes to age, group size, and educational backgrounds. I have tutored and taught on "one on one" basis and in (smaller) groups. My youngest student was 6 years old and the oldest one was 83.

Tutoring Approach

I will prepare each lesson individually. We will make our lessons about you and your personal aims and preferred focus. In our classes we can focus on general communication, writing skills or on specific grammar, learning vocabulary, etc. , whatever you need to improve.

I love working with students and language learners. For me, it's important that people have fund and enjoy improving their language skills and find the best learning strategy for themselves.

I mainly teach online which is very popular with my students. I can teach in person in SW9 area either at my place or the students place. Please note, I am charging extra to travel to the student's place to cover my time and travel costs.
