I am a world expert in medieval Latin who offers teaching tailored to the needs of graduate students, postdocs and other researchers (up to and including palaeography and textual editing). I can also teach the language component of GCSE/AS Level Latin, and the unseen translation and prose composition/comprehension components of A Level.
I've been teaching since 2006, first at Oxford, then at St Andrews and UEA. My main subject since 2014 has been Latin, with occasional stints teaching medieval philosophy and Latin palaeography.
Having spent years working on the Dictionary of Medieval Latin from British Sources, I always teach with an eye on the workings of the language, and my focus is on securing a precise understanding of what you are reading. I have an extensive collection of textbooks and will happily work with (or without) any of them to suit your preferences. If you already have a good grasp of Latin, we can look at more advanced topics like reading manuscripts or editing texts.
