Hi, I’m Mark, a qualified teacher currently working as a full time tutor. I’m an experienced classroom teacher who has worked in primary education for 10+ years, specialising in English and Maths at Key Stage 2 level. As an Assistant Head and English Lead, I have an extensive knowledge of the national curriculum, and my teaching is backed by cutting-edge, government approved, research and pedagogy. I enjoy helping children to reach their full potential and get the most out of their learning journeys, in a fun, flexible and supportive environment.

8 years of teaching KS2 SATs.
6 years as a Senior Leader, including roles as an Assistant Head Teacher, Head of Upper KS2 (9-11 year olds) and Key Stage Curriculum Leader.

Tutoring Approach

I offer one-on-one tutoring, backed by up-to-date pedagogy, government guidance and research, and a personalised approach, tailored to the student’s individual educational needs.

I cater to all students and am experienced in working with children with a wide range of SEN requirements (including dyslexia and autism), English as an additional language, gifted and talented children and students with global developmental delay.

My aim is to improve confidence in the classroom, by helping children to enjoy and engage with learning, and preparing students for the next stage in their education.
