I am a first class Science and Maths specialist with 42 years experience of teaching at all levels, but also with an excellent grasp of all current curricula. I am a friendly family man and very approachable. I enjoy putting something back into the community that raised me, and I like to think I am a thoughtful professional.
In previous roles I have been a professor of science, have communicated science for NASA, the BBC, and the Royal Institution, and still write popular science books for international publishers. My various work experiences helps inform the way I tutor and brings life to the maths and science I teach.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is a flexible one. It would very much depend on a number of deciding factors, most notably the dynamism of the character and circumstances of the client. I strive for an all-round approach, one which embraces academic as well as other aspects.
