Athanasia-Maria

I am a qualified Maths Teacher. I am able to help students with their SATs, entrance exams and GCSEs.
I have completed my PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Mathematics)) at the University of Greenwich where I was awarded for my excellent performance in the course. I am also currently enrolled in a BSc in Physics at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Tutoring Experience

I have secondary school experience, including Academies and schools rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. I have tutored students to help them prepare for their GCSEs successfully. My students improve their predicted GCSE results by at least one grade.
I have experience in teaching students of all levels, including SEN (Special Educational Needs) students.

Tutoring Approach

I am well familiar with the style of GCSE questions of all the boards which enables me to equip students with the required knowledge. I often use past papers and create exam conditions in lessons to prepare students for their GCSE exams.
I create good relationships with my students in order to provide a safe environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and attempt challenging tasks. I transfer my enthusiasm about Maths to the students by making the lessons enjoyable.
I am enhanced DBS checked and I will provide my certificate on the first lesson.
