Online English and History Tuition

Hello, I'm Marie. I am passionate about teaching and learning. I love stories that show us different parts of the world, from different times, and that challenge and help us to understand ourselves and others.
I'm a big reader, but have to admit I watch an awful lot of TV and film too! Outside of teaching and writing, I enjoy the cinema, good food, quizzes and board games, and walking along the coast and in the hills.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor my teaching to individuals, in terms of style and content and welcome an opening session to discuss your aims and needs. I always outline a clear structure for individual sessions and series of sessions, so that we both have a clear idea of what to expect. However, I am also happy to be responsive to your needs, for example, if you want to revisit a topic, or want to spend more time on developing skills, such as essay writing.
I believe education should be available to everyone, and in the right hands hopefully enjoyable and nourishing for all too.
