Mariam

A qualified science teacher with over 10 years in all sciences for KS3 and KS4 all sciences as well as A-level Biology- including mentoring for BSc and MSc students. My overall aim is to discover the best suitable methods to teach individual students to their greatest potential, regain their enthusiasm and passion to learn and ultimately, achieve their target grades.
I work to inspire young adults to discover their talents. In the long term, I aim to evaluate the the key performance indicators that help support students to achieve long term sustainable development for both achieving target grades and quality assignment work.
My specialisms include- public speaking, virtual presentation deliveries with strategies to differentiate learning for all abilities, passionate to discuss recent scientific discoveries and trending topics in the field of all sciences, team leadership in projects, business and classroom management, school academic representative.

Tutoring Experience

10 years experience to date has been across multiple differentiated lessons spanning across secondary education (KS3 and KS4), securing good rapport and communicational skills with students, mentoring HE students (BSc & MSc) and teacher training mentor, flexibility in working across the globe in multiple languages (fluent in Arabic), consistently practiced good laboratory and clinical skills from collecting specimen in stem cells to record keeping of medical data for critical analysis, working alongside with one of the top vascular surgeons in publishing medical researching on recurrent Carotid Artery Stenosis following Surgical Interventions at the European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.
10 years experience in teaching KS3 and KS4 GCSE all sciences.
Experience in clinical and biomedical research- previously a fellow researcher in stem cells and endovascular surgery.

Tutoring Approach

A strong emphasis on gaining students confidence to approach exams with confidence through a plethora of exam style questions, exam techniques when carrying out questions, and clear understanding demonstrating scientific knowledge on assignments and laboratory practices.

I aim to provide students with support in their understanding of complex concepts in science as well as reviewing work for further development and assessments.
In summary, I aim to implement different strategies to teach SEN and EAL students. I aim to demonstrate and break down the process of excellent laboratory practice and criteria as well as statistical analysis in applied and clinical sciences.
