Ciao! My name is Maria Laura and I’m Italian bread and born. I spent the last five years in London, where I studied for an PhD that very recently was awarded. Previously, while in Italy, studied Architecture, History of Art, Fashion and Italian cinema. I love cooking Italian food for family and friends sharing my grandmother’s recipes but also experimenting new ones.
During the last two years I have also taught Italian language and culture at UCL. Before moving to UK, I worked for five years as a trained teacher in secondary schools.
In I’m passionate about teaching my native language and culture, and I would like to do in different ways and at different levels depending on the learner. So, if you are interested in learning Italian from scratch, or if you would like to learn at a more advanced level. If you need Italia for a specific reason like travelling, finding a job, applying for university etc.etc. or you simply would enjoy a conversation in Italian…. please join me!
