Madeline

I am a native New Yorker living in London. I receiving my BA in Greek & Latin from Hunter College in 2019 and my MA in Classics from University College London in 2022. I have been tutoring English and Latin since 2017 and teaching Latin, Ancient Greek, and Classical Civilisation in London secondary schools since 2022. I have taught Latin to all year groups from Year 7 to Upper Sixth Form, A-Level Classical Civilisation, and A-Level Ancient Greek.

I offer tuition to Latin learners at all levels, including GCSE, A-Level, and adult learners.

Outside of my great passion for languages and the ancient world, I love knitting, my dog Grigio, and writing!

Tutoring Approach

I am an encouraging and supportive teacher, frequently building off the tools and languages students already have in order to further their Latin skills. I use positive reinforcement to build confidence and encourage the recognition of patterns to make grammar less daunting.
