I am passionate about the ancient world, and have been for as long as I can remember. Even outside of my studies, I can often be found at a museum, listening to a historical themed podcast or reading (across both fiction and non-fiction) anything with an eye on the ancient world. I particularly enjoying studying Classical Reception and my favourite texts to read are ancient plays and poetry - but I have studied a variety of texts and topics from Homer all the way through to Martial, with detours through Xenophon and Cicero.

Tutoring Experience

I am a current student at the University of Bristol studying Classics, and intending to go on and become a teacher of Classics after university. I can tutor in Latin and Ancient Greek and certain aspects of Classical Civilisation up to Alevel and GCSE. I have been working with other people, helping to foster their passions and skills in Classics for four years now, and have found each opportunity to be more rewarding than the last. At my university I am involved in mentoring students from lower years in practical study skills as well as course specific content.

Tutoring Approach

My method of tutoring involves meeting people where they are at, understanding their goals and working together to get where they want to go. I am willing to use a variety of resources both online and analogue, and am more than willing to admit that while new tech can have its benefits, sometimes there is no need to reinvent the wheel.
