First year Masters of Chemical Engineering Student at the University of Nottingham after completing a gap year.
After being unsure on what to study at University during my final years at school and having always been passionate about STEM and Music subjects, I decided on a gap year to take an additional A-Level of Mathematics in a single academic year, of a combination of private self study and tuition while working full time to fund my tuition.
I take part in many extracurricular activities such as sports and music, and I am currently a part of the University Men's Hockey and Basketball. I am a firm believer of having a rounded education, and throughout my school career and year out I have gained incredible experience in studying and preparing for examinations.

Tutoring Experience

During my school career, I have been an English-speaking counsellor in Spain at a summer camp, leading outdoor activities and sports to develop their English-speaking skills. Throughout my A-Levels, I created resources for my fellow students to use and often helped my lab groups with any school work we needed to complete. I have also coached many sports throughout my school career.

Tutoring Approach

Using exam questions and exam material is a fantastic way to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills that are vital for GCSE and even more so at A-Level. My approach will be setting problem sheets and questions to be completed outside of the sessions, and any questions or problems will then be taught and practised in the sessions, as well as any other problems a student might have with their subjects.
