Lucy

My name is Lucy and I'm a primary school teacher, currently working in Year 4. I have had experience in year 3, 4, 5 and 6 and have worked with a variety of SEN needs. I love teaching and making a difference to people's lives. My favourite subjects are Maths and English so I love helping people to thrive in these areas. I have two children of my own who are aged 3 and 1.

Tutoring Experience

I have spent the last 6 years teaching in a large primary school in Coventry. I have had experience in all year groups across ks2. I have regular training on safeguarding, phonics and SEN needs. I specialise in English but have experience teaching all subjects in the primary curriculum.

Tutoring Approach

All of my lessons will be carefully thought out and planned with individualised targets in mind. My approach is laid back while also ensuring that the best possible progress is made. I want the children to thrive and succeed. I make lessons fun and engaging in the hope that the children will enjoy the sessions, which will lead to progress. I will allow the child to lead the sessions while also planning sessions based on gaps identified in the child's learning. My aim is for every child to reach their full potential and become independent learners for the future.
