I am a recently graduated PPE student with a strong academic background throughout all levels of my schooling career. Since graduating, I have spent a year living in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam teaching English as a Second Language at a government run school. My experience as as an ESL teacher helped me to develop my already strong communication skills and adapt my methods to students with varying levels of English and different learning styles. Academically speaking, my expertise lies in essay writing and the formulation of strong, coherent arguments. Outside of academics, however, I also have a great interest in the subjects of politics and philosophy. I engage with them deeply on a recreational level and enjoy debating complex and interesting ideas. I am also interested in sports, music and cooking as further hobbies.
I have spent a year working as an English teacher in a government school in Vietnam. During this time I was responsible for teaching and managing classes of 40-50 in the subject of English as a Second Language. I was also responsible for keeping track of students progress and administering tests throughout the school year. Alongside this, I also tutored students privately. I have experience tutoring students from the ages of 7-8 up to adult learners both online and in-person. I have recieved overwhelmingly positive feedback from all my students, both from my school and those I have taught privately.
I offer clear, engaging, and structured tutoring for A-level and undergraduate students in PPE and related subjects. My focus is on helping students think critically, write clearly, and understand complex ideas with confidence.
Lessons are centred on discussion and active learning. I guide students to break down challenging material, build strong arguments, and express their ideas clearly in writing. Sessions are tailored to individual goals — whether that’s preparing for exams, improving essays, or exploring topics in depth.
