Hello! My name is Luca and I'm currently a first year at the university of Warwick studying for a 4 year degree in Chemistry, after completing my A-levels this year in Maths, Chemistry and Physics. Aside from my studies I enjoy travelling and sports, namely football, badminton and Taekwondo.

Tutoring Experience

I have had experience with online tutoring since the beginning of 2021, where I volunteered for EasyA with maths and science tutoring, which is directed towards disadvantaged students who do not have access to paid tutoring. I've continued this pretty much every day throughout most of sixth form - as I believe teaching a subject has actually helped me learn it better myself. In the first term of university I've been given the opportunity to continue this and start tutoring Year 12 students who are eager to also study chemistry at university.

Tutoring Approach

I am most comfortable with teaching A-level Chemistry, as I am most familiar with its curriculum, but I am also completely happy with teaching Maths and Physics, also up to A-level. Firstly we will target the aspects of your course that you feel the least confident and then, using online resources available, go through some exam/practice questions. I will let you try it out on your own at first, to see your thought process, but if you get stuck I will drop some hints until we reach the correct answer, and we'll continue this process for each topic until you're able to answer any type of question that the exam throws at you and thus improve your grade massively!

In addition to this, I will give you some tips that I used during my A-level journey that helped me a lot - this is mostly things like revision tricks, helpful websites and certain flashcard software that can really help make all the information I teach, stick better.
