I am a fully qualified TEFL teacher with a Master's Degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and an Undergraduate Degree in History. I have experience planning and delivering successful English lessons to varying ages and abilities using a number of tried and tested resources such as textbooks, articles, and games.
I am a keen sportsperson, having played water polo for the past ten years, and competed at international tournaments such as the Commonwealth Games. I have also coached water polo for over eight years, delivering sessions to all abilities from absolute beginners, to international athletes. I understand that learning something new can be intimidating, but I believe I am patient, encouraging and will design lessons to suit your specific needs.
I love learning about people's hobbies. I find that by using engaging materials which incorporate your interests into our lessons, you can really feel at ease and confident in your ability to learn.

Tutoring Experience

Throughout my TESOL Masters Degree and TEFL Qualification, I have had experience planning and delivering effective English lessons. I studied for my Master's Degree during 2020/2021 completely online. Therefore I understand the challenges that come with online learning. However, I have specialised experience with teaching online and delivering lessons using different online formats (Skype, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc).
I have over eight years of sports coaching experience, including water polo and football. I have delivered sessions to both children and adults of all abilities, ensuring to make each activity interesting and appropriate for each individual ability.

Tutoring Approach

We will first establish what you want out of our lessons together. Whether you want to improve your conversational English, study for an English test, work on a specific skill set, or just generally improve your English vocabulary, I will design fun and suitable lessons that go at your pace.
Depending on your level, we will use many different materials during our lessons, including video clips, interesting articles, or games, to make sure you leave having learnt something new and confident in your English ability!
