I am an enthusiastic and passionate tutor for GCSE English Literature and Language and Key Stage 3 students. I have over 8 years of English teaching experience with a range of age groups from year 7 to 13.

Tutoring Experience

I currently tutor alongside working part time as an English teacher in a secondary school-where I have had great success. I also have knowledge and experience from being an exam marker. This has allowed not only for me to obtain a better insight into the exam boards requirements but has also allowed me extensive experience of the texts studied, particularly for Literature. I also have experience in Functional Skills English preparation.

Tutoring Approach

I offer a tailored approach to lessons, adapting to the individual needs of the student and lessons could typically involve revision technique, exam technique, specific skill based activities (e.g. analysis, evaluation) and I am also able to provide guidance for oral assessments if needed. All lessons are provided online and therefore can be done in the comfort of your own home!
