We feel fortunate to have found Louisa as a Maths tutor for our daughter. She makes complicated steps incredibly clear and is very patient. We’ve appreciated how she’s tailored what aspects needed to be covered and on the odd occasion we’ve needed to re-schedule (or schedule extra lessons) she’s always been helpful and flexible. Louisa tutored my son for GCSE maths for more than two years. Louisa is organised, responsive and friendly. She is also encouraging and patient. I can’t say enough good things about Louisa and I’m glad to be giving this feedback. By way of background, my daughter attends an independent girls school and started with Louisa when she was lacking confidence in her mathematical abilities, falling behind in class and would become overwhelmed at the mere thought of sitting down to attempt maths. We had all of the usual tears over homework and whilst we managed to get through it, it wasn’t pleasant in the least. This was an ongoing concern and we’d tried lots of various tutors and techniques, all to no avail.

I found Louisa’s profile after trawling through lots of tutors, and for some reason, she resonated with me. I sent her a message and she was very prompt to respond, couldn’t be more helpful and we got started right away. Louisa was amazing with my daughter from the first lesson; she has a very calm and composed way of teaching, explains all the tricky bits in a clear and concise manner so much so that my daughter leaps out of her chair after most lessons saying ‘I get it, I actually get it mum!’. I can’t tell you what that does to me, suffice to say I feel relieved. Louisa has been accommodating any time I have forgotten lessons (which I’m afraid to say has happened on several occasions) and hasn’t hesitated to reschedule, even squeezing us in after she finishes work which is always greatly appreciated.

In short, we recently attended my daughter’s parents’ evening and I could’ve cried happy tears there and then. Her teacher told us that she was giving some of the best answers he’d seen in class, attempting questions that some of her peers were struggling with and seemed genuinely baffled when we mentioned she’d previously had a lack of confidence when it came to maths. I couldn’t believe he was talking about the same child. My mummy heart is so happy and I can see her confidence growing with each lesson she has with Louisa.

Louisa, you are a gem! And I’m grateful to you for all that you’ve done and continue to do for our daughter.

Louisa is kindhearted and caring about my daughter. She has excellent teaching skills and well organised lessons.

Louisa has been an amazing tutor for my daughter. Through her tutoring, my daughter can now confidently tackle concepts that were previously difficult to understand. Louisa tutored my daughter for one term before she sat her GCSE Maths. My daughter was really struggling and needed to up her grade to a C.
