Oxford student with a creating yet structured lesson approach - I'm passionate about instilling a love for their subject in all of my students.

I'm studying Philosophy and French at university. They are subjects which involve a lot of reading, writing, and analysis. I love getting stuck into the texts we study and arguing over different interpretations. I think the attention to detail required is what I like most about my studies.

I remember being pretty stressed when I took my GCSEs - but they went alright in the end! After GCSEs, I did the International Baccalaureate - 6 subjects (English, Maths, French, Philosophy, Physics, and Chemistry) - so it was a lot of work.

One of the things I have learnt is that improvement is all about practice. You need to revise what you don't know so well, but also the things you have a decent grasp of.

Tutoring Approach

I find it really useful when a teacher turns the tables and asks their students to talk through how to do an exercise or to explain a key point. It forces students to pay attention and to really think about their answer on a deeper level. It's the best form of revision because it lets you go over old material in a new way.
