Hi, I currently have a BSc in Biomedicine and a MSc in Health & Disease from Birkbeck College (UCL). My plan is to undertake PHD research in sometime in the future. I have a keen interest in researching bacterial resistance and the implications this has on therapeutic treatment.
With over 16 years of tutoring experience, I have constantly found new ways to engage my students and assist them in gaining top marks in exams. My lessons are bespoke to the individual needs of each student and I create a place where they are free to ask questions and not feel insecure about their learning.
I believe even the most 'difficult' aspects of the sciences can be understood! I have a relaxed and informal teaching style, breaking down and explaining information in a way that is unique to the learner. It should also be fun! I intend to open up the subject matter in a way the student should want to know more, and not feel fearful. Biology is vibrate, with new discoveries everyday. I hope to make it something students aren't 'put off' from. I tutor online using an interactive whiteboard which is extremely effective and maximises the tutoring time.
