I am a knowledgeable and experienced Head of Department working in Surrey. I have a positive outlook on learning and cater for a variety of needs and abilities from KS3-KS5. Working in schools now for over 12 years I have gained a range of techniques to get the most from students to make sure they meet their full potential in exams. I can tutor online and face to face.

Tutoring Experience

I qualified from St Mary's University with a geography degree and went on to complete my PGCE the following year. I have been teaching for 13 years now, 8 of which have been as Head of Department. I have worked in 2 schools in Surrey as HoD. Working in Ofsted rated Special Measures Schools and Good I have worked with a range of pupils from different backgrounds and abilities and have learnt how to get the most out of students.

I have been tutoring for 12 years and have helped lots of students through GCSE's and A level.

Tutoring Approach

I have a positive approach to learning and work with a range of students and abilities, I create lessons based on the student and not a one size fits all approach. All students work differently, so getting to know their strenghts and weaknesses initially is important. I am still a current HoD in a state school so am used to designing lessons for a range of abilities and needs. All specifications are covered.
