Hi there, I am Lesley. Originally from Shenzhen, China, I had the privilege of growing up in a diverse cultural environment that blended both mainland Chinese and Hong Kong influences. My educational journey took me from Toronto, Canada, where I completed my high school and early university years, to the University of Liverpool for Business Management. Over the past four years, I've been fortunate to work in UK higher education, gaining valuable insights and experiences. Living in three different countries has fueled my passion for merging cultures, which I bring into my Mandarin teaching approach. I've also been involved in volunteer work, teaching English in Hangzhou, China, and Ubud, Indonesia during summer breaks when I was a student. As a university student, my summers were dedicated to volunteer work, participating in a charity group that provided free English lessons in underdeveloped areas in Hangzhou, China, and Ubud, Indonesia. Interacting with local students in diverse cultural settings was a privilege and a transformative experience that fueled my love for teaching.
