I’m a calm, grounded practitioner with a strong academic foundation and a background in education that spans both primary and secondary settings. With over a decade of experience — and as a mum of two teenagers — I understand the real-world pressures young people face, both in and out of the classroom. I bring more than subject knowledge — I bring steadiness. My style is warm but structured, gentle but grounded, and always tailored to what each child really needs: clarity, support, and confidence that actually lasts.
I’ve worked in education for over 13 years across primary, secondary, and specialist SEN settings. My core focus is supporting Year 4 and Year 5 students with Maths, English, 11+ and entrance exam preparation — blending academic clarity with confidence-building strategies that actually work. I also offer mentoring and study support to GCSE and A-Level students, particularly during high-pressure seasons when planning, focus, and emotional regulation are essential. Previously, I set up and led a dedicated classroom for EAL students at secondary level — building everything from curriculum and resourcing to pastoral care and team management. That role deepened my belief in tailored, trust-based teaching — and that belief runs through every session I now offer.
My sessions combine academic clarity with emotional steadiness. Whether preparing for the 11+ or mentoring towards exam season, I support young people to feel capable, calm, and ready. I don’t believe in piling on pressure — I believe in building true readiness. That might mean developing planning and focus skills for A-Level students under strain, or helping a year 4 child feel quietly proud of their progress. Whatever their need, I see the child behind the challenge — and that’s where the shift begins.
