I am a 28 year old fully qualified English Language & Literature teacher with a literature degree from The University of Oxford. I am incredibly passionate about both teaching and tutoring, particularly using the latter to open doors and opportunities to all students, no matter what their academic ability.

Tutoring Experience

I am a fully qualified English Language and Literature teacher with experience working in a range of educational backgrounds, both state and independent. I am accustomed to working with students with a diverse range of needs, wether these be SEN or academic.

I have extensive teaching experience of both Edexcel iGCSE Language and Literature and the AQA GCSE Specification.

I also have extensive teaching experience of both Edexcel and AQA A Level English Literature, and AQA A Level English Language

I have a track record of improving student outcomes and achieving excellent Progress 8 figures in my classes, alongside a proven ability to secure the top grades 8-9.

Tutoring Approach

I plan and deliver sessions that balance fun interactivity to facilitate knowledge retention with rigorous academic practice; students will leave my classes with their confidence boosted through regular low stakes testing, and with a firmer understanding of what excellence looks like in English.
